Scam With Your Friends has a small, checkable set of official channels. That is good news for a game whose subject attracts fake links: there are not many addresses to verify, and each one is reachable from another, so a fake is easy to expose.
The official addresses
| Channel | Address | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Steam store page | store.steampowered.com/app/4954910 | The only place the game can be bought, and the source of truth for the release date and price |
| Official site | jataterworldwide.com/scam-with-your-friends | The developer's page for the game, with its three-section pitch and the trailer |
| Unlimited AI page | jataterworldwide.com/scam-with-your-friends/unlimited | The terms for the $8 playtest add-on, quoted on our playtest page |
| Discord | discord.gg/invite/jataterww | Community and developer updates |
| Press kit | Google Drive, linked from the official site | Images and video for creators |
| Developer channel | JakeHub on YouTube | Where the official trailer lives |
| Publisher channel | Jatater Worldwide on YouTube | Where the gameplay clip lives |
| Support contact | contact+steam@jataterworldwide.com | Listed in the store's support information |
Who makes the game
The developer credit reads JakeHub, Metater, and the publisher is Jatater Worldwide. The publisher's site hosts the game's official pages, which is why the Discord invite sits there too. The same trio shipped the developer's previous game, Airport Security Sucks!, which is useful context for judging how this team runs an Early Access release.
The three-second check for any other link
- Does it end at the addresses above? If not, it is unofficial, whatever it claims.
- Does it sell something that is not on sale? The game has no price and no pre-order, and playtest access cannot be bought. A checkout button is the clearest fake signal there is. Our safety and scams page details the three fakes in circulation.
- Does it name the game exactly? The store listing is Scam With Your Friends. The publisher's video titles spell it "SCAM WITH UR FRIENDS", which is a real official usage but not the store name, and fake pages tend to copy the video spelling because that is what search suggests.
What this wiki is, and is not
This site is an independent fan wiki. We are not affiliated with JakeHub, Metater or Jatater Worldwide, we do not speak for them, and our about page describes how we label facts. When official information changes, the store listing and the official site change first, and this wiki follows with a new fact-check date on the affected page. The questions people ask most are collected with short answers on the FAQ page.
